Singapore buildings: Bishan Community Library Part Two

Round shelves are used instead of straight tall ones.

The look of this place is totally different from before. Just compare with the shelves from previous floors.

Looking down, with pods at the side. The nice hues of colour gives a refreshing modern look and helps liven up the atmosphere.

Look at the wall opposite the pods, with slits on the wall allowing light to enter in the day but not distractions. Due to the angle, they cannot be seen too clearly.

The view of it from the outside.

There is also a basement for kids. Being there makes sure the noise stay there and also is easier to access as there is no need to climb upstairs.

The stairs down.

Shelves are significantly lower, built for children height and not too intimidating.

More shelves, they are also more spaced out.

Carpets are chosen to create a more dynamic esperience.

An open space where kids run around without running into shelves. Parents also spend time with their kids here.
